he prognosis of each individual patient depends upon a number of factors such as severity of their injury, whether it is an acute or chronic problem, the age of the patient , the fitness level of the patient, the nutritional status of the patient, etc. There are some problems we can help fix or correct, others that we can help improve or manage and a few that we cannot help.

Back Pain 101 PROGNOSIS (WHAT ARE THE CHANCES THAT I CAN I GET BETTER)
Category 1: EXCELLENT PROGNOSIS GOOD PROGNOSIS
Category 2: FAIR PROGNOSIS GUARDED PROGNOSIS
Category 3: POOR PROGNOSIS

Most individuals that we except as patients will fall into the first category or in more difficult or complex cases the second category as it is our general policy that we only accept patients that we feel we can help. If after our initial consultation we do not feel your problem is something we can assist you with using our treatment protocols, we will refer you to the appropriate location where you may find help.
The good news is the odds are on your side. Fortunately we can help most people suffering from back pain and neck pain. We will perform a focused physical ,neurological and orthopedic exam and check your x-rays and/ or MRI’s to get an accurate diagnosis –then we can give you the answer you deserve. The reality is some problems can be fixed, some problems can be managed and unfortunately some problems we can not help. If we feel we can successfully help relieve your pain or help manage your problem we will accept you as a patient. If we do not feel that we can help you then we will refer you to the appropriate physician that can best handle your problem.
